Like much of the NHS, HDFT faces ongoing financial pressure, and funding for major new equipment is not always available. That’s where HHCC, with your support, can make a real difference.
We raise funds for specialist equipment, training and services that go beyond NHS provision, helping to enhance treatment and facilities and improve the environment for staff, patients and their families across all departments and communities within HDFT.
We also lead and coordinate HDFT’s volunteer team. Our amazing volunteers enhance service quality, improve the patient experience, and make a meaningful difference beyond the NHS’s core responsibilities.
Our Impact – Where your money goes
- 720,000 – people live in the catchment area for the hospital’s acute services.
- 2,500,000 – people in our catchment area for community services.
- £0.85p – for every pound donated is used for specialist equipment, training and services.
Mr Holt was diagnosed with cancer. The care and treatment Mr Holt received at Harrogate District Hospital made a huge positive difference to Mr Holt’s life. As a result, Mr Holt kindly decided he wanted to contribute to the cost of his life saving treatment. This operation cost a total of £47,000.
It has all been free! What more could one ask? I am delighted to be able to give something back.
Mr Holt
Mr Holt provided an extremely generous donation of £10,000 with the addition of Gift Aid. His generosity will have a lasting impact to services at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
To protect Mr Holt’s confidentiality, we have changed his name.
