Every day, our Palliative and End of Life Care Teams provide compassionate care and support to patients approaching end of life, and those important to them, both in hospital and within the community.
Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity (HHCC) is seeking support to help enhance the personalised experience of End of Life care across Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) and reach our £40,000 fundraising goal. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we’ve already raised over 19% of our £40,000 target, bringing us one step closer to making these important enhancements a reality.
We are celebrating every donation and contribution towards reaching our target with a bespoke fundraising thermometer in the front entrance of Harrogate District Hospital. As we receive donations, more cherry blossoms fill the thermometer helping to demonstrate how much of an impact each donation makes.
Your donation will help fund:
- Enhancements to bereavement facilities.
- Comfort bags for relatives staying with loved ones in hospital.
- Keepsakes such as handprint memory equipment, helping families create lasting memories.
- Additional recliner bed chairs for relatives staying with loved ones.
- Children’s bereavement books and cuddle memory toys.
- Additional education for staff caring for patients and families.
- Audio monitors for families and hand-held fans for patients.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue to provide compassionate, dignified and personalised care for patients and those closest to them during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
