We are thrilled to take part in the 45th Great North Run on Sunday 13 September. We are running to raise funds for the Great Start in Life Foundation, which is part of HHCC. Every donation will support children, young people and their families across the North and Yorkshire.
We have admired the Great North Run ever since living in Newcastle and watching thousands of runners cross the Tyne Bridge. Because of that, taking on this challenge together feels especially meaningful. We are excited to begin training and to raise money for Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity.
As Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust continues to expand across the North of England and Yorkshire, the Great Start in Life Foundation plays an increasingly important role. It raises funds to enhance the Health Visitor and School Nursing 0–19 service. As a result, children, young people and their families can access stronger support and enjoy a Great Start in Life.
By supporting our fundraising, you help HHCC make a real difference in communities across County Durham, Cumberland, Darlington, Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, South Tyneside, Stockton‑on‑Tees, Sunderland, Wakefield and Westmorland and Furness.
