I’m thrilled to take part in the 45th Great North Run on Sunday 13 September. I am running to raise funds for the Great Start in Life Foundation, which is part of HHCC. Every donation directly supports children, young people and their families across the North and Yorkshire.
I was born in Harrogate District Hospital, and my family and I have used many of its services over the years. Because of this, fundraising gives us a meaningful way to give something back.
As Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust continues to expand across the North of England and Yorkshire, the Great Start in Life Foundation plays an even more important role. It raises funds to strengthen the Health Visitor and School Nursing 0–19 service. As a result, children, young people and families across our communities can access better support and enjoy a Great Start in Life.
By supporting my fundraising, you help HHCC make a real difference in communities across County Durham, Cumberland, Darlington, Gateshead, Middlesbrough, Northumberland, North Yorkshire, South Tyneside, Stockton‑on‑Tees, Sunderland, Wakefield and Westmorland and Furness.
