I have always wanted to take part in the Great North Run, and 2026 is the year I finally pushed myself to sign up. I have never run anywhere near this distance before. Even so, I feel motivated to take on this challenge because I am raising money for HDFT and the communities it serves.
I am fundraising for HDFT’s Acute Medical Unit, where I have worked for the past 13 years. The staff on this ward work tirelessly every day, and their dedication inspires me. I hope the money I raise will support both the team and the patients who rely on the unit. This one is for all of you.
