The 2026 event marks the 32nd anniversary of this popular Nidderdale charity walk, organised by the Rotary Club of Harrogate. Once again, Pateley Bridge will be the starting point, and the routes will guide participants into upper Nidderdale.

The purpose of this Rotary event is simple. We provide well‑organised, waymarked routes with checkpoints, and you raise money for your chosen charities. We handle the preparation, and you collect sponsorship and walk—or run.

In 2025, HHCC participants have raised more than £1000 for HHCC, which is an incredible achievement. Entry fees cover event costs, and any remaining funds go to local charities supported by the Rotary Club of Harrogate. If 10 or more HHCC supporters take on this challenge, we receive a donation of 50% of all their entry fees, paid directly to the charity.

There will be six routes to choose from: approximately four, eight, fifteen, eighteen, twenty‑two and twenty‑six miles. All routes start at Pateley Bridge Scout Hall and head up Nidderdale towards Lofthouse, with some continuing beyond.

You can register online through PayPal and pay using a debit or credit card, or a PayPal account. There is also the opportunity to purchase an event t-shirt.

The event is open to both walkers and runners, and you may complete whichever route you prefer. There is no limit on participant numbers. Further details and the registration form are available in the Event Documents on registration link.

If you would like to take part and fundraise alongside your participation, please contact the HHCC team to set up your fundraising page.
