How long have you been part of the team at HHCC?
Since October 2021! I started in the Team as a Charity and Volunteer Officer and have now developed into my new role as a Project Coordinator since April 2025.
What is your role at the charity?
At Harrogate Hospital & Community Charity, I support the delivery of projects and fundraising initiatives that enhance the care and experience of patients, their families and our colleagues across our hospitals and community services. My role involves coordinating charitable projects from initial idea through to completion, working closely with clinical teams to ensure funding is directed where it will have the greatest impact. I also lead on planning and delivering fundraising events, building relationships with supporters, local businesses and volunteers, and helping to raise awareness of the difference charitable funding makes. From managing timelines and budgets to ensuring events run smoothly, I help turn your generosity into meaningful, measurable outcomes for our local NHS services.
What inspires you to do what you do?
I’m inspired by the strength and generosity of our local community. Seeing people come together to support their local NHS, whether through fundraising, volunteering or simply sharing our message. It reminds me that we’re all invested in the wellbeing of one another.
What does “making a difference” look like to you?
Making a difference means turning donations into tangible improvements such as new equipment, enhanced environments, and services that directly benefit patients and staff every single day. It’s about the small touches that ease anxiety and the big projects that transform care, knowing every contribution has a real and lasting impact.
What’s one word your colleagues would use to describe you?
Committed 🙂
